General Notes: Husband - Peter Beerly

The surname was originally written Bierhley, later Bierly, and this form was adhered to by other branches of the family; but he chose to adopt the spelling Beerly, which was continued by his children.

He was a wagonmaker in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, until 1847, when he moved to Boggs township, Centre County, and continued that business throughout his remaining years. He was a man of influence, and in his last years was a Republican in politics.
