General Notes: Husband - Walter W. Beck


He received his education in the public schools of Karns City, after leaving which he went to McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and worked for the McKeesport Tin Plate Company as a process man in the hot mill department. He remained there four years and then returned to Karns City, where he took charge of the operations and construction of his father's business, the Pennsylvania Refining Company. In 1922 he was made general manager of the company.
Mr. Beck was a Republican in politics. He was a member of Argyle lodge, No. 540, F. and A. M., Chicora, Pennsylvania; Butler Chapter, R. A. M., No. 273, Butler, Pennsylvania; Lorain Commandery, K. T., No. 87, Butler; New Castle Consistory, thirty-second degree, New Castle; Syria Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Syria Caravan, No. 14, A. A. O. N. M. S., Butler, Pennsylvania. He was also a member of the Ridgeview Country Club, Foxburg Country Club, a director of the American Oil Works Company, Titusville, Pennsylvania. Mr. Beck served as a member of the city council and he was a member of the German Lutheran Church.

She was graduated from Wilson College and was a teacher in the Karns City, Pennsylvania, public school for five years.
