General Notes: Husband - William Lewis Marshall

He attended the country schools in boyhood and the summer terms at Glade Run Academy in 1875-76-77, as well as one winter term, after which he turned his attention to farming, the management of the home farm falling on his shoulders. He owned the old Marshall farm of 135 acres in Wayne township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, and continued to operate it until 1910, when he moved to a home nearer Dayton, Pennsylvania. His business as agent for the Pine Creek Insurance Company called him to many points in the county, and during the twelve years of this connection he not only did a large amount of insurance business but made hosts of personal friends. Politically he was a Democrat, and for several years was serving in the office of tax collector.
