General Notes: Husband - William B. Welty


He was a soldier in the Civil War; enlisted in Company C, First Pennsylvania Regiment, in 1861, was a member of the Flag Company, and was killed at the battle of Antietam. In the same company were nine cousins, all of whom were wounded and one of whom later succumbed to his wounds.
