General Notes: Husband - Oliver Herman Watson

He was totally blind from the age of fourteen years, but as is often the case, his other faculties were particularly keen, and in spite of his affliction he was able to render valuable assistance to his brothers in their oil operations. He was well read, and kept abreast of the times in all matters of general interest. He was just as thoroughly acquainted with the development and operation of oil property as his brother L. M. Watson, but owing to his affliction was unable to work out his knowledge unaided. He was also a broommaker, having learned the trade in Philadelphia in the school for the blind there, but owing to the high price of material and factory competition he did not follow this business.
