General Notes: Husband - Cornelis Coerte Van Voorhees

Flatlands, Long Island, NY

He was one of three brothers who came from Amsterdam, Holland, about the year 1670, and settled on Long Island, New York, where one was killed by a poisoned arrow shot by an Indian. The other two, Cornelius and Daniel, remained on Long Island, and their lineal descendants make up the sum total of the name in the United States.
