General Notes: Husband - William Turner

The Turner family originated in Scotland, William Turner migrating from that country to County Antrim, Ireland, about 1760. There he followed his trade as a weaver the remainder of his life.

His three children, John, Alexander, and Mary, were taught his trade. Suffering the loss of his wife, he remarried, but his choice was disapproved by his sons, who left him on that account. In 1788, the sons sailed for America.
