General Notes: Husband - Richard Turner

He was two years old when his father emigrated to what is now Worth township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, which was a dense forest. It is related of him that when he got out of bed the first morning after the family had settled in their new home, he looked out and seeing the trees standing thickly all around, he called to the rest of the family to "get up and let's go home." He remained on the homestead working it on the shares till the death of his father in 1874, when he came into possession of the farm.
