General Notes: Wife - Annie Turner

She was the youngest of the family that made the journey to western Pennsylvania. She met her death by drowning in a spring under the house of Mr. Seth Jewell, where the family passed the night, near Waterloo, in Venango County, Pennsylvania. It seems that the sorrowing parents retraced their steps some distance and buried her on a little knoll on the right hand side of the road between Waterloo and Franklin, possibly about three quarters of a mile from the former place. The vicinity was long known as "The lone grave," and the old "Sandy church" was built in that vicinity.
