General Notes: Husband - Samuel Thompson

He was born on the old family homestead farm on which his grandfather settled, and later lived in Center County and in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He was a merchant tailor, and had a place of business in Petersburg, Huntingdon County. He served in the War of 1812, was a Whig in politics and a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.

According to History of the Juniata Valley, 1913, Pg. 1200, he was the son of Peter Thomson/Thompson and Mary Patterson, but this does not agree with information from The Descendants of John Thomson.
