General Notes: Husband - Anthony Swearingen


He drowned while young, in the spring near his father's house; when found his head was at the bottom of the spring and his feet near the surface; it is supposed that he fell while trying to reach for a leaf at the bottom of the spring, which was about three feet deep and walled on three sides with rock.
