General Notes: Husband - George Stroup

Besides raising their own six children, Julian and Ida raised Julian's nephew, George Stroup, like one of their own. George, it was said, was born to Daniel and Harriet's daughter, Harriet "Jane" Stroup Heigley. Though George was not raised by his mother, he was raised by her parents, Daniel and Harriet Stroup, and by his Uncle Julian and Aunt Ida Stroup. He was born and raised in Rockland Township, moving to the state of Indiana in the early 1900's. He lived in Marion, Indiana for some time.
