General Notes: Husband - Francis Drake Strong


He was born on the family homestead in Waterford township, Erie County, Pennsylvania. He obtained a good education, and always resided on the homestead farm. He managed the large estate with good judgment and made it not only a very productive property but a favorite resort of his many friends. He had a wide circle of warm friends and at his beautiful country home was the ideal host and agreeable companion. He was a Democrat in politics and a good friend of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
