As a wife and mother, Mrs. Waddell was affectionate and devoted. High moral principle, pleasing manners and a dignified self-control, formed the personal characteristics by which she attached to herself the high regard and confidence of those of her acquaintance. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church about sixty-two years.
