General Notes: Husband - William Waddle


Among the pioneer settlers of Worth township, Mercer County, PA, were William Waddle and his sister, Mrs. Sarah (Waddle) McDowell. They came from Franklin County, PA, about 1798. He located 100 acres and she the adjoining tract of 100 acres, lying south of what is known as the St. Paul Schoolhouse.
He was in the War of 1812, and died at Erie of camp fever.
He and his wife had two sons and five daughters. His sons left no children to perpetuate the name.
