General Notes: Husband - Denton D. Stark


He was graduated at Jefferson College, Canonsburg. Soon after leaving college he enlisted for service in the Civil War in the 37th Illinois Infantry, and served in the Missouri campaign under Fremont, and was in the battle of Pea Ridge under Curtis. In the summer of 1862 he was made adjutant of the 1st Arkansas Cavalry, and in 1863 he became captain of the Arkansas Battery of Light Artillery.
He later resided in San Francisco, California.
