He did not come from Maryland to Pennsylvania in 1764 with the others of the family, but removed to a place in Kentucky, and later to the middle west. The Rev. Mrs. Collins, who died recently [1915] in Pittsburgh, was a granddaughter, and the Rev. Robert E. Speer was a great-grandson.
