General Notes: Husband - John Smith

Phillipsville, Erie Co, PA

His father, with his family, came to Venango township, Erie County, Pennsylvania, in 1801, and cleared up a farm, where he spent the remainder of his days. He was a soldier in the War of 1812.

He was a pioneer, and a soldier at Erie, Pennsylvania, serving there at the time Perry fought his victorious battle on Lake Erie in the War of 1812.
