General Notes: Husband - Albert H. Smith

He was educated at the Franklin, Pennsylvania, high school and Cornell University. Immediately after leav-ing the latter institution he entered the employ of the Eclipse Lubricating Oil Company, Limited, at Frank-lin, and remained with it thereafter, working his way up from the bottom rung in the ladder to a first-class superintendency. He came to that position July 15, 1888, and had under his supervision thirty-five to forty men, and handled, approximately, three hundred thousand barrels of crude oil a year. He was a member of the popular society known as the Elks, and of several college fraternities. [HVC 1890, 819]
