General Notes: Husband - John McCoy


He married in New Jersey, and about 1820 moved to Allegany County, New York. He was a stone mason by trade, and followed that business in other parts of New York state. He then moved to Ellicottville, New York. He was a Democrat, and a member of the Presbyterian church, of which his wife was also a most active, enthusiastic member.
