General Notes: Husband - David C. Smith

In 1862 he enlisted in the Union army in the nine-months' service, and in March, 1864, re-enlisted in the 82nd P. V. I. He was wounded at Cold Harbor June 1, that year, and died at Davis Island, N. Y., on the 9th of August, leaving a widow and two sons.
