General Notes: Husband - Jacob O. Sherrick

He followed farming until the latter part of his life, when he engaged as a distiller with S. Dillinger & Co., of Bethany, Westmoreland County, PA. After serving several years with the above firm he purchased a grist mill and a distillery near Tarr's station and operated them successfully until his death. He was a republican in early life but later became a democrat and supported the democratic ticket until his death. Both he and his wife were consistent members of the church of God; they had four sons and four daughters.
