General Notes: Husband - John B. Shaner


He came to Venango County, Pennsylvania, in 1856. He was a contractor and an oil producer.

Civil War: He was a member of Company A, 121st P. V. I., and was wounded at the first battle of Fredericksburg, Virginia, on the 13th of December, 1862. He lay in the hospital till April, when he was discharged.
