General Notes: Husband - Jacob Shaffer


He was one of the first watch and clock makers in the borough of Washington, Pennsylvania, and he also made the old-fashioned silverware. His store was opposite the "Auld House," in an old block corner, and his residence was in Morgan's brick house. He came to Washington, Pennsylvania, from Lancaster County, and died in Washington, aged ninety-six years and four months.
