General Notes: Husband - Maj. Anthony Selin


He came to America from Switzerland and served as major in the war of the Revolution. (He was a captain in General Hagen's regiment and by brevet a major.)
He was the founder of the town of Selinsgrove, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, and a man of much prominence in the business and political circles of his day, being also a member of the famous "Society of Cincinnati."
