Scottsville, Hopewell Twp, Beaver Co, PA

He was a tall slender man of unusual ability, who became prominent in the community. He was of Irish descent, his wife of Scotch, and the ancestors of both were early settlers in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and owners of extensive tracts of land which they farmed on a large scale. Mr. Scott continued this industry and also owned and operated a tannery near West Economy, Pennsylvania.
