General Notes: Husband - Peter Wengert


He was born in Germany, and emigrated to the United States in the early eighteen-forties. He settled in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, where he followed his trade of tailoring for a number of years. He then removed to Westmoreland County, locating on a farm in Ligonier township, in the Ligonier valley, and after a few years removed to Monroe County, Ohio, where he was occupied with farming for several years. He returned to Westmoreland County in 1858, and settled on a farm in Unity township.
