General Notes: Husband - Ephraim Smith

Unity Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

He was apprenticed to learn the trade of shoemaking, which occupation he followed until about 1865 when he turned his attention to farming. He was a member of the Church of God, and an ardent adherent of the Republican party.

He and his wife reared a family of fourteen children.
