General Notes: Husband - John Sargeant


He settled at an early day in Washington County, Pennsylvania, upon a tract of land on Plum Run, south of Hillsborough, and the property was later owned and occupied by his grandson and namesake, John Sargeant.

He came to West Bethlehem township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, at an early period, locating on a farm of 162 acres.
He was an active worker in the Republican party, and a successful business man.
