General Notes: Husband - Henry Sampsel

He resided for a time at Miffiinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania, but moved to Ohio the year after that state was admitted. He settled near New Lisbon, then a pioneer section, where Indians and wild beasts were plenty. His descendants became scattered over the state.

By his first wife he had seven children-four sons and three daughters. His second wife had several children, among whom were some successful physicians of their time.
