Civil War: he enlisted June 10, 1861 in Company C, One Hundred and Eleventh Regiment Penn­sylvania Reserve Corps, was wounded at the battle of Gettysburg [Fredericksburg?], Dec. 13, 1862, and died in Libby Prison.
