General Notes: Husband - Martin Bash

Educated in the district school of his neighborhood, he began at an early age to acquire a practical knowledge of agriculture by assisting his father in carrying on the homestead farm, and he eventually succeeded to its possession. Fully contented with the lot of an independent farmer he took pride in preserving the traditions of his family in the way of improvements, and was especially fond of thoroughbred cattle and horses, which were always to be found on his farm.
