General Notes: Husband - Walter Rugh


Civil War: he was a member of Co. I, 11th Pa. vols, for about three years. He was captured in Virginia May 30, 1864, and turned over to the provost marshal at the general hospital, Wilmington, N. C., March 22, 1865. He was supposed to have embarked on board the steamer Gen. Lyon, from Wilmington to Annapolis, March 28, 1865. The steamer was lost and all on board perished. He was nearly twenty-three years of age.
