General Notes: Husband - John Gilmore Rowe


He enlisted as first sergeant of Company K, 126th P. V. I., Aug. 7, 1862, and was promoted to be first lieutenant Aug. 15, 1862; he participated in the battle of Fredericksburg, Dec. 13, 1862, and at Chancellorsville, May 3, 1863, was wounded severely in the forehead. He had been a private in Company C, 2d P. V. I.
