General Notes: Husband - William Ross


He was born in North Strabane township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and was educated in the log cabin subscription schools of the times. He was always a farmer, owning a well-cultivated farm of ninety-six acres, but was also engaged in mining coal from a vein on the place. In politics he was always a Democrat, and cast his first vote for Gen. Jackson.
