General Notes: Husband - Andrew S. Stoner

He received his education in the public schools and at the Mount Pleasant Institute. He remained at home on the farm until attaining his majority, and then entered the service of William Stoner & Company, general merchants at Tarr, with whom he remained as a clerk for five years. At the end of that time he returned to the homestead which he cultivated until 1888, and then purchased half of the "James Warden farm," on which he lived ten years. After selling the property he moved to the Ligonier valley, where in 1898 he purchased the Breniser farm. This he sold in 1902 to the Seger Brothers, after which he bought the estate known as the Sibel farm on which he then made his home. The property was situated half a mile south of Ligonier, consisting of one hundred and thirty-seven acres and was one of the best farms in Ligonier township. He was a Republican in politics. He and his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal church of Ligonier.
