General Notes: Husband - Capt. David Caldwell


He was called by his neighbors "Capt. David", to distinguish him from his cousin, Maj. David. He resided on the land devised to him by his father, being a part of the old homestead farm, until his death. He was a man of note in the valley, and in 1797 was elected one of a board of trustees for the Hart's Log Church.
