General Notes: Husband - John Robbins

The immigrant ancestor of this surname was John Robbins, a native of Kent, England, and came to the New World for reasons of conscience, like many others in that day of religious intolerance. He settled in 1740, in the Connecticut Valley, near the head of navigation, near Wethersfield. He was a member of the House of Delegates at the outbreak of the Revolutionary War.
