General Notes: Husband - Robert Robb

He came to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, in 1806.

The first settler in French Creek township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, so far as can now be ascertained, was Robert Robb, who in 1802 entered and located on donation lot 1,028. His brother-in-law, John Smith, followed with his family, consisting of his wife, son Robert and brother William, in 1807. It is related of these pioneers that they were too poor to own oxen, and consequently were compelled to carry their earthly possessions on their own backs, when emigrating from Allegheny County.

A young son of Robert Robb died not long after the family moved to French Creek, and this was probably the first death in the township.
