General Notes: Husband - Flavel Roan


He was sheriff of Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, 1791-94, and a member of the Pennsylvania Legislature in 1795.

He was the author of a deed which was quoted in the law books as the most eccentric on record. It was made to Clara Helena Elkinhuysen, in 1793, and could be found in the archives of Northumberland County at Sunbury, in deed book F, page 280, under date of November 3, 1793.
