General Notes: Husband - Jackson Remaley

He was reared on the farm and learned the trade of a carpenter. In 1869 he went to West Virginia and there bought a farm near Parkersburg on the Kanawha river. His wife died a short time after his removal to this farm, and soon after her death he sold it and returned to Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. Here he established himself on a farm, which was his patrimony. He was a Democrat and served as secretary of the school board for twenty-five years.
