General Notes: Husband - William Ramsay


His father was a coal operator owning mines near Dunfermline, Scotland, in the early days of the Scotch coal mining industry.

He and his wife and family first came to the United States in 1852, but after a residence of four years, they returned to their native land. In 1863, however, they emigrated a second time to America and settled at Larimer, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

He and his wife were buried in Irwin Cemetery, Westmoreland Co, PA. [HWC 1906 ii, 334]
