General Notes: Husband - Dr. William Pinkerton Taylor, M.D.


He was born on the old family homestead in South Strabane township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where the greater part of his boyhood was passed. He worked on the farm in summer time, and attended the schools of the neighborhood during winter. One year he spent on a farm in Ohio. In 1863 he commenced the study of medicine under Dr. T. W. Bradley, of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and then entered Sterling Medical College at Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated in the spring of 1866, and April 2, same year, he located at Noblestown, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in the general practice of his chosen profession. He developed a large practice in the town and surrounding country. He was a K. T.; politically a democrat.
