He was murdered by his common-law wife June Keefer; she stabbed him to death at a hotel.

Wednesday, July 118, 1955, Ransome Burton Prindle, aged 37 years, of 155 1/2 East 18th Street. Son of Mrs. Asenath Prindle and the late Winnie C. Prindle. Brother of Mrs. Leo Stankovick; Mrs. Lawrence Karkowsky, Mrs. Howard Ames, Kenneth, Arthur, Carl, Glenn and Allen Prindle. Father of Ransome, Jr., Stanley, Dale, Lawrence, Danny and Gwendolyn. Brugger Funeral Home. Services Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment in Northville Cemetery, State Line, N.Y. Erie Papers 7/19/1955. Source: Erie Historical Society (Cheney).)
