General Notes: Wife - Sophia Anna Stright

Much of the time between 1883 and 1887 was spent in Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, where she attended school. She was separated from her husband and lived at the family homestead and at various times with her brother Leonard's family and with her daughter Laverne. At times she suffered from mental illness and spent periods of time in the Warren State Hospital from 1901 until her death.
One of her nieces said of her "She was a beautiful woman with many talents. I have been told that she play­ed the church organ at the age of twelve."
