General Notes: Husband - John Henry Powell

---

When he was only fifteen years of age he enlisted in the Twenty-eighth Regiment Iowa Volunteers, and served three years of the civil war as orderly for Captain Wilson. After the war he came to McKean County, Pennsylvania, following the oil fields until his death.
