General Notes: Husband - George L. Potts

He was born in Penn township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and at the age of eighteen went to Greensburg, where he learned the trade of a blacksmith. After finishing his apprenticeship he purchased the shop in which he had served his time, and occupied the same shop until the time of his death. He belonged to the Knights of Honor and at the time of his death was one of the oldest Masons in Westmoreland County. His political opinions were those of the Republican party, and he was a member of the Lutheran church.
