General Notes: Husband - Benjamin R. Yard


He came to Irwin Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, in 1813.

He learned the cabinet-making and carpenter's trades, which he followed for several years, and finally relinquished to go into farming. He was a member of Pleasant View Methodist church and the church at Mechanicsville for nearly forty years. [HVC 1890, 959] [CAB, 638]

He had six sons and four daughters by 1879.
