General Notes: Husband - Levi Wallace Williams

He was born Oct 19. [HVC 1890, 553 & HBC 1895, 1321] in Lancaster Co, PA. [HBC 1895, 1321]
He came from Northumberland County, PA, with the family of his father, to Clinton Township, Venango County, in 1803, and from there, in 1812, he removed to the extreme southwestern part of Scrubgrass Township.

He was a young man when he accompanied his father from Northumberland County, PA, and on June 12, 1812, he established his home on the farm near Lisbon, Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, which his sons Simeon and Eli subsequently owned, the birthplace of his grandson Levi P. Williams, who later resided there. During the war of 1812 he was one of the soldiers of Captain Witherup's company who went to Lake Erie to help at the time of the threatened invasion. [CAB, 1017]

In 1812 he removed from Clinton township, Venango County, to the extreme southwest part of Scrubgrass township, Venango county. He owned 109 acres of land, and in 1836 erected the stone house later occupied by his son Simeon Williams. He was a tailor, but devoted his principal attention to farming. With the assistance of his sons he cleared and improved the farm upon which he resided at his death.
