He came [from England] to America in 1845 and located in New York City, where he had charge of a Methodist Church. Rev. William Towler was one of the noted ministers of his country, and was sent to New York by special request to take charge of American missions.

After the death of her husband, she left New York City with her family and removed to Toronto, Canada. While on a visit to her brother in England, in 1870, she died.
